Dance!Vashon
Dance!Vashon is a 501(c)(3) that provides scholarships to Vashon Dance Academy.
We host fundraisers to assure that we are able to assist as many families as possible.

Fall Dance-a-thon Fundraiser
Each November, VDA dancers take pledges and dance their hearts out during an hours-long dance-a-thon where older dancers teach the younger dancers choreography in a variety of styles, including modern, ballet and hip hop. The fundraiser lasts well into the night as the younger dancers head home for dinner. It's an Island tradition and a great way to raise scholarship funds.
Spring Productions
Dance!Vashon produces our yearly show each spring. VDA families join together, volunteering their time to make our productions some of Vashon's most memorable shows.
Our incredible performances include impressive sets, elaborate costumes and, of course, stunning choreography from our teachers and dancers who train.

In 2020, because of the pandemic, we were unable to host a live production, but in 2021 we knew we couldn't go another year without somehow sharing all of the hard work the dancers had put into learning choreography and technique. So we created a less thematic showcase, yet a still-dynamic performance. With social distancing in the audience and mask-wearing for all unvaccinated dancers, we were still able to create a show we were extremely proud of.
We are looking forward to having full sets, lighting and costumes again in 2024, with our well-known, professional quality productions.
